If you haven't noticed yet and would like to get rid of all of those red dots on each forum, when you are on the board index page, to the right is a link that says "Mark forums read." This will allow you to get rid of the red dots and you will then be able to know which forum has been posted to since your last visit. There is also a link at the top of each topic to do this as well.
